Training provider Kaplan partners with its employer client-base to make this offer to business based in Manchester –
Off the back of a successful National Apprenticeship Week 2013 training provider Kaplan has joined forces with its clients to offer Manchester employers an additional member of staff for free. Although National Apprenticeship Week 2013 is over, Kaplan want to make sure Apprenticeships are not forgotten by employers, which is why they are working with their own employer customers to make this happen.
Kaplan and its extensive client base, which includes major employers such as RSM Tenon, as well as SME businesses across the region, recognise the business benefits that Apprenticeships bring, including harnessing new talent. Together Kaplan and their employers will pledge to demonstrate the quality of Apprenticeship candidates and the difference they can make to businesses of any size by loaning their apprentice to another business in Manchester for a day.
With Apprenticeships that cover areas from accountancy to business administration and customer service, the loan opportunity applies to any type of business, of any size. From book-keeping to administrative tasks, customer service support, purchase ledger balancing to raising invoices, the Kaplan apprentice will be well placed to support businesses with practical tasks, as well as answering questions and queries about the Apprenticeship programme that employers may have.
Kaplan training centre manager for Manchester, Gill Daly, says:
“Employer research shows that businesses that embrace Apprenticeships believe that their apprentices make their organisation more productive, more competitive, and provide the skilled workers they need for the future. Yet, we also know from our clients that many business owners and managers have concerns about employing a young person – often because of persistent stereotypes that don’t stand up to scrutiny. By allowing one of the bright, motivated and enthusiastic Kaplan Apprentices to spend time with another employer, we hope to showcase these benefits first hand, thanks to our employers’ support.”
