Beverley Concannon Charged with Animal Cruelty Following death of Jade Lomas News Desk September 19, 2013 Wigan A woman has been charged with animal cruelty offences after four dogs killed a teenage girl in a house in Atherton. Beverley Concannon (born 19.08.1968) of Almond Grove, Worsley Hall, Wigan has been charged with two offences under Section 4 (1) and one offence under Section 9 (1) of the Animal Welfare Act 2006. She is due before Wigan Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 1 October 2013. Shortly after 2pm on Tuesday 26 March 2013, police were called to an address on Chaucer Grove following reports a teenage girl was unconscious and a number of dogs were out of control. Officers attended and found the body of a 14-year-old Jade Lomas-Anderson. They were confronted by a number of dogs that were aggressive and out of control. As a result, four dogs were humanely destroyed by armed police officers.
