Woman stabbed in the neck at Hilton Manchester

GMP have arrested five people after a woman was stabbed in the neck at a hotel in Manchester.

Tactical Firearms Officers were in attendance after the woman was attacked inside the hotel.

Greater Manchester Police said the incident is not believed to be terror related.

Anthony Hilton, who works nearby, told the MEN: “we saw a police van turn up in the car park.

“One by one they starting arriving, there must have been at least 15.

“One of my colleagues was walking back. He saw a woman on the floor with a large slash across the throat.”

Shortly after 11.10am on Monday 23 July 2018 police officers on Deansgate were flagged down by a woman with serious injuries to her neck.

The woman is being treated for lacerations to her neck.

Three men and two women have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. Enquiries are ongoing.

Scenes are now in place in one of the hotel rooms and outside the hotel itself.
